Monitors in the Cinema

The 16:9 format has established itself in the monitor now. Now LG and Philips put things in widescreen once again: On their IFA stands in Hall 11 and Hall 22 show PC monitors with an aspect ratio of 21:9.


Both screens have a viewing angle-stable IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1080 pixels. Movies in Cinemascope format they can play without black bars. To the general work area with a diagonal of 29 inches (about 74 cm) is also suitable for working with multiple windows: The usable screen area, the 29-inch model corresponds to the height of a 23.3-inch model with full HD resolution (16:9 ), but just wide.

LGs EA93 model assumes image signals against either via its HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort inputs.
