Google helps you create online courses
Google has released his Course Builder, a tool for creating online learning materials as open source. As Director of Research Peter Norvig wrote in a blog post, the Course Builder was designed to create an online course to Power Search with Google. Google wants to develop the software that Norvig describes as "experimental early step in the world of online education".
According Norvig already several universities in Europe and the U.S. and the Free Education web site Sayler.org experiment with the Google software. Google is also in discussion with the creators of EDX, a free learning platform of MIT and Harvard University. On the Course Builder website can be found next to the Apache-licensed source code and detailed instructions.
Created with the Course Builder courses run as App Engine application in the Google cloud. Join for free, only limited resources available to Google's price for power search that was retrieved from about 150,000 students would have caused costs of about U.S. $ 20 per day. To create a course with Course Builder, HTML and JavaScript knowledge is required.
