dmexco: Rich gains in online marketing
In 2012, the online advertising industry is expecting again with a significant growth. They expect a gross investment of 6.44 billion euros. This represents an increase of 12 percent compared to last year. The proceeds from the "OVK Online Report 2012/02" produced by the Online Marketing Circle (OVK) of the Federal Association of the Digital Economy (BVDW) presented at the fair dmexco. Online advertising has consequently the total advertising market in the previous year as a share of 21.8 percent, the second largest share after the television advertising with 38.2 percent share.
Particularly strong growth seen in the OVK mobile advertising. Did the advertising companies in 2011 invested about 36 million euros in display ads and apps, the expenditure in the first half of 2012 amounted to EUR 23 million already. Based on these figures, the OVK goes here from an overall growth of 70 percent.
By lush growth also benefits the dmexco itself 578 exhibitors, including 140 for the first time, present their products at the fair - an increase of more than thirty percent to the previous year's dmexco. The proportion of foreign exhibitors has grown it to more than 20 percent.
