Microsoft: Installation problem with Windows Phone
Microsoft has confirmed in a blog post that the smartphones with Windows Phone are currently suffering from a problem with certificates, which prevents the installation of apps and to install updates for installed apps. Affected are therefore compatible with Windows Phone 7 smartphones shipped that have received an update to 7.5, but not directly sold with 7.5. The problem do not step on each app with, but only a small part, but are among the popular apps like WhatsApp, the Bing Translator app and the New York Times.
Currently there is no fix or workaround, but Microsoft recommends only to uninstall currently any apps that you might need later, fail because the reinstallation could. Microsoft working on a fix, but not a time called for it. The blog entry is from the 14th August.
