First "Ivy Bridge" dual-cores for desktops in trade

Since April, the processors of the latest generation "Ivy Bridge" Intel's 22-nanometer manufacturing are available. But so far the offer has gaps. While Intel notebooks for both dual and quad-core versions sold there for desktop PC motherboards with socket LGA1155 almost the only quad-core Core i7-3000 series and Core i5-3000. One exception is the Core i5-3470T, whose true name is similar to the quad-core Core i5-3470 and Core i5-3470S, although he has only two cores. He is the most fuel-efficient Core i5 - Intel i5 and at least one required for office computers with vPro logo, so with Q77 chipset and remote maintenance.

Intel has not revealed any official launch date for the pending Core i3 dual-cores with 22-nm innards, but now are Core i3-3220 (3.3GHz / HD 2500), Core i3-3225 (3.3GHz / HD 4000) and Core i3-3240 (3.4GHz / HD 2500 surfaced) at some online retailers, and consequently on price comparison websites. The prices are still significantly higher than in the comparable "Sandy Bridge" Core i3-2120 type (3.3 GHz / HD 2000), Core i3-2125 (3.3GHz / HD 3000) and Core i3-2130 (3.4 GHz / HD 2000). They may fall after the official product launch by Intel.

Great advantages of the newcomers are not expected, even if Intel calls a 10 watt to lower thermal design power. At the same clock speed Ivy Bridge expects minimal faster than Sandy Bridge. The HD 4000 GPU of the i3-3225 should not be a much more powerful than HD 3000, HD 2000 or HD 2500, but only enough for less demanding 3D games.

Recently AMD has reduced the prices of some A-series processors - also suggests that new Intel products are pending.
