Browser editor ACE appeared in Version 1.0
The browser running code editor has climbed the ACE version 1.0. The editor is written in JavaScript and is long code files use the same efficient as short snippets of code. Syntax highlighting and code folding, as well as markers and vertical tab-line indicators to make writing and editing code comfortable. It also provides search and replace with regular expressions, and, upon request, shortcuts of desktop editors Vi and Emacs.
Currently, from the Mozilla team and Cloud9 developed (the team behind the same IDE), was the editor of the original independent project Skywriter / Bespin the Mozilla Labs and used under the name ACE editor of Cloud9 IDE project. While Bespin is based on the HTML Canvas tag, used the original ACE DOM (DOM Object Model) for rendering. After the initial publication of the editor to JSConf.eu 2010 in Berlin, both projects were brought together and established in the ACE project.
With the current release is accompanied by a change from the previous Mozilla triple license to the new BSD license.
