Microsoft executive Achim Berg joins Bertelsmann
The Microsoft executive Achim Berg leaves the software company after six years and is the beginning of April CEO of Bertelsmann subsidiary Arvato. "We are very pleased that an internationally experienced top manager has opted for Bertelsmann," Bertelsmann spokesman Markus Harbaum told dpa. Berg is a recognized expert in marketing and sales of high-tech solutions. Berg was last seen at the headquarters of Microsoft responsible for relations with telecommunications companies that should he win for the Windows Phone platform. Previously, he was CEO of Microsoft Germany. Berg joins Arvato succeeds Rolf Buch, who, according to Bertelsmann, "the leadership of Arvato Bertelsmann and from the management board on the most agreeable resigns of his own accord at the end." Arvato has more than 68,000 employees of the largest service providers for print and digital publications and a wide variety of business processes.
