Computer science professor at the TU Darmstadt has the highest EU research funding

Mira Mezini, computer science professor at the Technical University of Darmstadt, has been awarded the most lucrative EU research funding. The ERC (European Research Council) grant Mezini an 'Advanced Grant "in the amount of EUR 2.3 million, which it intends to spend on exploration of radically new programming concepts in cloud computing.
The money goes into the development of its PACE (Programming Abstractions for Applications in Cloud Environments) project mentioned.
Here is a group of researchers from seven employees will develop both the theoretical basis as well as evaluate create prototypes of new concepts and programming.
Mezini research and teaching since 2000 at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where she has directed the Department of Software Engineering. Her research interests include programming languages, intelligent software development environments like Eclipse Code Recommenders, modular software architecture, and software security. Between 2005 and 2006 she was awarded the IBM Eclipse Innovation Award. Before her first three German computer scientists have received an Advanced Grant, the European level is comparable to the prestigious Leibniz Prize of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
