U.S. Google last a complaint for abuse of dominant position
Narrows the siege against Google. The Federal Trade Commission U.S. (FTC, for its acronym in English) is finalizing an investigation that could recommend the filing of a complaint against the computer company for abuse of dominant position in the market for Internet searches.
According to several sources have said there is an internal memory FTC recommended sue Google for abuse of dominant position. The U.S. agency launched an investigation for months for this purpose which is expected to end in late November or early December.
This is not the first research that opens against Google. This past July, the search engine announced an agreement with the European Commission to avoid a hefty fine for abusive practices, but the deal has not been closed yet and details are unknown. In July, the Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said that the agreement with Google would have a global reach.
Behind these investigations are one company, Google rivals in travel services, online shopping, and entertainment, which have accused the search engine favor one over other pages, pages that are owned by Google.
